Firm
The firm is a global real estate investment firm headquartered in New York, with approximately $1.1 billion of committed equity. The firm pursues opportunistic real estate investments through both equity investments and mezzanine lending activities. Since forming in 2005, the firm has committed capital to over 50 residential, retail, industrial, office, hotel and mixed-use projects.
Position Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in acquisitions, capital raising, market research and investor reporting with the aim of “delivering the firm” to the company’s investor clients.
- Research investment theses for new real estate markets and products.
- Prepare marketing and investor materials for existing and potential investors, including pitchbooks, PPMs, Fund offering documents, RFPs and due diligence questionnaires.
- Draft communications to investors, including quarterly letter and report, market commentaries, portfolio reporting and general strategy reports.
- Assist in the management of the investor closing process, including investor due diligence and market tours.
- Develop and maintain financial models to measure fund performance, capital allocation, equity exposure, and capital sufficiency.
- Provide exceptional and timely client services to current and potential investors; Respond to investor inquiries and requests for information.
Candidate Profile
- 2-3 years of directly relevant work experience.
- Superior quantitative and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated skill in constructing complex financial models.
- Skilled in research and data collection.
- Technological proficiency. Facility with Excel required. Ability to create compelling presentations in PowerPoint a must.
- Proven capability to write well and clearly.
- Strong oral communication skills; articulate.
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Team player who is attracted to a small, collegial working environment.
- Undergraduate degree required.
